4 June, 2009 - 6:09 pm PDH Zijlstra - What camera do you use with the Nikkor 16-85? I would like to have the Nikon D90, but maybe this camera is to slow to take sportshots now and then. At the moment I have a Canon Rebel 350D (17-85 is usm & 70-300 is usm) equipment and are ready to make the move to Nikon.

4 June, 2009 - 7:16 pm Dave - With the 70-300 VR I used the Nikon D200 (replacement is D300). These are semi pro bodies & as such the focusing speed is very quick plus acurate. I couldn't say how the D90 performs with sports. The only analogy I can give is when I moved to Canon, I had a couple of 40D's. After trying to use them at an equestrian event, I realised they were not up to the focus speed / acuracy of the D200. I ended up buying a Canon 1D MKII, which was a huge improvement on the 40D. Hope that is of some help.
